Josiah is from central Iowa and has been involved in bluegrass music since becoming the first recipient in BMAI's Play It Forward program in 2012. Josiah was given a banjo to learn on and has never looked back and took a 2nd place Red Ribbon in the 2017 Iowa State Fair Banjo Contest. Josiah has also picked up the guitar and now plays rhythm guitar for Fine Line Bluegrass. In his spare time, he is very active on his family's farm, in his local church and in 4-H where he shows rabbits, swine, and has restored a WD45 Allis Chalmers tractor.
